The Forgotten Factions of Transformers

1. The Quintessons: The Fallen Creators

Before the Autobots and the Decepticons, Cybertron was supposedly ruled by a manipulative alien race: the Quintessons . Merchants, judges and torturous scientists, they designed robots on an assembly line, selling their creations across the galaxy.

Why they are forgotten:

• Cybertron erased their dominance from its archives.
• The Transformers prefer to ignore their past as slaves.
• Their company almost disappeared after the robotics revolution.

Despite this, their influence remains, particularly in certain relics and in the creation of specific military classes.

2. The first Maximal and Predacon lineages

Long before Beast Wars , Cybertron had already seen the rise of animal factions. They were the spiritual heirs of Onyx Prime , one of the Thirteen, master of bestial forms.

These groups, now forgotten, inspired:

• and hybrid mechano-organic creatures.

Their disappearance is often linked to major energy purges or the restructuring of the Cybertronian Council.

• the techno-monks of archivists.

Their existence was erased for fear of an ideological spread that was too dangerous.
