1. The Quintessons: The Fallen Creators

Before the Autobots and the Decepticons, Cybertron was supposedly ruled by a manipulative alien race: the Quintessons . Merchants, judges and torturous scientists, they designed robots on an assembly line, selling their creations across the galaxy.

Why they are forgotten:

  • Cybertron erased their dominance from its archives.
  • The Transformers prefer to ignore their past as slaves.
  • Their company almost disappeared after the robotics revolution.

Despite this, their influence remains, particularly in certain relics and in the creation of specific military classes.

2. The first Maximal and Predacon lineages

Long before Beast Wars , Cybertron had already seen the rise of animal factions. They were the spiritual heirs of Onyx Prime , one of the Thirteen, master of bestial forms.

These groups, now forgotten, inspired:

Their disappearance is often linked to major energy purges or the restructuring of the Cybertronian Council.

3. Micromasters: The Era of Energy Savings

Created during a major energy crisis, the Micromasters were a separate faction, designed to consume less Energon. They attempted to create their own independent society on various colonies.

Why are they forgotten today?

  • often absorbed by the Autobots or Decepticons,
  • rarely involved in major wars,
  • Many of their colonies were destroyed.

However, they were essential in the post-war reconstructions.

4. The Lost Cybertronian Colonies

Cybertron once possessed several independent colonies, each with its own culture, castes, and sometimes its own political symbols. Some evolved away from the main conflict.

Examples of factions originating from colonies:

  • the Knights of Cybertron,
  • the exiled Protectobots,
  • groups derived from Titans such as MetroTitan or Vigilem,
  • various cults surrounding Solus Prime or Vector Prime.

Many were destroyed or absorbed when the war threatened to engulf all of Cybertron.

5. Techno-sects: forbidden beliefs and extremist factions

Some factions were not military but religious, devoted to the Primes, the Titans, or even to entities like Unicron.

Notable sects now extinct:

  • The Disciples of The Fallen,
  • the worshippers of Dark Energon,
  • Metroplex's reconstruction cults,
  • the techno-monks of archivists.

Their existence was erased for fear of an ideological spread that was too dangerous.
